Important dates

At the time you receive your offer, you will be provided instructions on what you need to do before commencing study in Brisbane. Our enrolment team will support you in completing key pre-departure activities including student visa applications, financial aid paperwork and work integrated learning requirements. Please note that the MD Academic Calendar in Australia differs from schools in the United States in that it runs from January to November each year.

Below is a summary of the important dates between submitting an application and commencing classes.

Applications

Applications: Rolling; application will be considered for next appropriate intake Class

Interviews: Begin in March and continue into the Fall

Offers: Three to four weeks following the MMI

Before you begin

Submit financial aid paperwork: From September 

Submit student visa application: When you receive confirmation of enrolment from UQ

Enrol for classes: From late November

Commencing classes

Orientation: End of January

Commence classes: End of January
